Question What should you do if your cat starts sneezing

If your cat is sneezing, what are you meant to do?

Is it adviseable to take the cat to a vet straight away?

It depends. If your cat is sneezing once in a while, its ok (especially if you're doing spring cleaning and accidentally kick up some dust in the cleaning process!). However, if its a constant thing, that you see multiple times a day and several days in a row it could be something more serious. It could be anything from allergies, asthma, or a respiratory infection, any of which is advisable to take the kitty to a vet.

See Ally,

If your cat is only sneezing that to once in a while without any other behavioral change then it's quite normal. But continuous sneezing can be a sign of an upper respiratory infection, or of a foreign body lodged in your cat's nasal passages.

And if your cat is sneezing since a long period of time, and you have noticed notice other symptoms such as swollen eyes and glands, you should visit your veterinarian as soon as possible.
