What bugs hedgie owners the most?

Hi everyone,

1. The great amount of poop they leave on their wheel every night

2. Poo boots= 4 mucky paws from wheeling at night

3. Poop in the water bowl. Why in the heck do they leave me such nice presents ???

4. Albino hedgies that look like mini cows because the roll in their poop

1)poopy wheels are yucky, but i was always glad to see it for it meant that my little quilly darlings were exercising AND ENJOYING THEMSELVES.

2) POOPY BOOTS ARE SO CUTE! i loved to wass thier feet while i sang to them the wash song and then cuddle and kiss them all fresh and clean.

3) i used bottles so this was not an issue for me...

4)ok, that must be it. i would wash them and cuddle them and sing to them...but it was such a pain to go to cuddle and find out they had to be washed first!!! lol usually the pooh was just on thier widdle heads from wheelig gand it falling on them. lolol

i miss my hedgies. the last two-and my faves-died tragically and i just could not bear to get any more right away. lord, i miss my girls.

Hi Danielle,

I've owned chins and found them to be much cleaner.

I own a Chin and a Heggie….I can assure you that my Chin poops WAY MORE than heggie. My heggie will poop in and around the wheel, but my Chin poops all the time. Chins move fast so you have to be a good sprinter to follow the fresh poop if you let them out of the cage.

However, they are both very cute. My Chin (Hatshepsut) and my hedgehog (Osiris) get along really well. They are both really cute and touch noses. I should put up a picture of that…..

Confused little poo

I find poops in food dish all the time.. in all three cages but the water bowl only gets bedding in it all the time... now that my little ones are moving around I seen one sniff anothers poo and anoint over it. I can only hope that this will be a faze.
