Riding in Hedgie Bags

I ahve found an old handbag that I think will make a nice carrier-pouch for Haley the Hedgie. Now I need to know the right way to use it. I understand that hogs are nocturnal, so would it upset her to be carried around by daylight? At night I tend to be home or the gym, so I wouldn't be taking her w/ me then.
Do you line the pouch w/ something for bathroom purposes?

Is it so you can bond with her more?

Yes, it is a bonding strategy of one-on-one hedgie time, since when I am home I tend not to have time for her (chinchilla & guinea pigs are not allowed to play w/ her out ).

youcan line it if it is not soft, but it is not really not needed as she will tend to sleep the entire time you are carrying her around. daylight, nighttime-doesn't matter. just do what you think will make her comfortable in her baggie.

You could put some flannel or old sweat shirt material in it, just make sure that it does not have any loose strings that could get caught around her legs. They tend to not potty when they are sleeping in bags, so if you wake her up and let her potty say for 15 minutes in her cage first, you might not have a mess at all. Depends on the hedgie. We have one girl who poops everywhere and anywhere even in her hedge bag. She may mind being woken up at first during the day, but she will get used to that too. Does she like mealworms or crickets or something special you can reserve for giving them to her when she is in her pouch so she will associate it with treats.
