Fraggles

I'm new to this site and have been looking for a hedgehog for a while now. I've done TONS of research and actually work in a vet clinic where the vets are excited to meet one when I can actually find one, and are totally willing to work with me if I come across health problems. The pet stores here (Prince George) aren't that great, I don't even like buying fish there, so I'd never consider getting a hedgehog, even if they did sell them. There are a couple breeders in the province, but are still quite far. I'll be in Vancouver for Christmas though and was just thinking I might have better luck down there. If anyone has any suggestions on finding a breeder close by that would be AWESOME. Thanks SO much.

I know this is a little late but if you haven't found a hedghog yet, there is a small animal rescue group in Vancouver that I believe has a few hedgies in foster right now. Their website is:

They're pretty good at finding ways of getting animals to their new home regardless of where they live. I live almost five hours from Vancouver and they were able to find volunteers willing to transport my new bunny to me.

Good luck, we have a hedgehog named Nigel, he's a lot of fun and a very cool fellow.
