Bonding

Here is another question for you guys. I am looking for ideas on bonding with a new hedgehog and I have read a few different things. One was wear a tshirt to bed for a couple of nights and then put it in with the new hedgehog so they can get use to your scent. The other was holding and obviously spending some time them everyday. THe otherone was using a bonding pouch. I have a friend who used the bonding pouches with a sugar glider but they are use to being in a pouch if you know what I mean. WHat is am wondering is if you used any of these techniques and please give any other tips you might have learned along the way.

Yes, all of the above are good tips. I would just add that food reward treats go along way to making friends also.

I find wearing a hoodie and letting him stay in that pouch works just great : )

Just hang out with him in the evening and spend some quiet time together. Dim the lights, make sure the TV or stereo isn't too loud, and give him a blanket where he can hid and feel safe and still be close to you.

Treats also work well. LOL!
