5 week old hoglets

I just LOVE showing them off

sorry about the sketchy quality of the photos; they were taken with my cell phone camera will get some better ones later on this week!

BTW this is WEANING WEEK for them! think momma is getting tired of them hanging around

weaning went well! baby 1 is the most adventurous and ate kibble right away!

for awhile Momma was escaping every night so I finally put her in her own cage and gave her 'visitation rights' every 8 hours or so to the hoglet cage so make sure all of them got milk during the weaning period, and give Momma a break!

by now all three are eating kibble and getting separated! it's hard seeing them look kinda lost without each other, the three babies! hopefully they can adjust to this second phase of development.

third phase == quilling :dread!!!:

the one closest in the last picture seems quite big compared to the others.. is that one a boy or a girl?
Im glad the weening went well.. and Im sure that mom did need a good rest.. lol..
what do you mean by third phase == quilling??? is that something that all the hedgies go thru?? what is it?
