Penny and Dime's new cage

I went out and bought some storage cubes and vinyl ling for the bottom of Penny and Dime's new cage. It looks really good and it's so huge, they just squeal whenever I take them out and put them back in, they love it.They also make cleanup easy for me cause they only poop and pee in one corner so each morning I clean the corner and it doesn't smell.I will try and post some pics later fo ryou all to see.

I would like to see pictures of the cage, I'm, thinking of making one like that, but would like some idea. does yours have a top to it? we have a cat, so I have to build one with a lid

Now my girls won't eat there pellets, all they want is vegetables and fruits, I don't want to not give them any veggies but then again I think they know that if they don't eat pellets mommy will bring them veggies and fruit. I bought good pellets from the petstore so I don't understand why they wont eat. They have plenty of water and Timothy hay which they love, but I can't figure them out.Should I stop with the veggies for a few days and make them realize they have to eat pellets or what should I do?

They do need some form of roughage in their diets and they are getting that with the hay but they really should eat the pellets as well. Do you have a set time when you give them the veggies? As maybe you should leave pellets down allday and then maybe say at tea time give them a bowl of veggies so they get into a routine of some kind, just a suggestion

They normally get veggies at 9pm when I go to bed and pellets are out all day, hay is refilled when I wake up so I am not sure why they aren't eating the pellets.

try switching to martins guinea pig food, my guys eat it very well.
they should be getting greens more then veggies and fruit should only be a treat a couple times a week.

They will be just trying it on, trying to make you give in, they all do at some time or other as a form of protest

I bought some bulk guinea pig food from my local pet store, as soon as I put it in their bowl Penny started eating it.I honestly think the stuff I had before was rabbit food cause it was super skinny pellets and smelled different, yet on the bag it says guinea pig feed.I guess I will just have too buy it in bulk. It only cost $4.92 for a medium size bag full, I think it will last probably 2-3 weeks at least.
