3 males?????

I have 2 male piggies(best buds) right now that are just the best of buds. They are both just a little over a year. I have been thinking about getting another piggy for sometime now, but would not want to cause fighting between any of my boys. Is it possible to have 3 males that live together happily? I heard that adding a female will always cause a fight between the males. I would of course have my boys fixed if there was a girl present. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to add another friend?

Thanks

Kathleen

yes its entirely possible!! i have 2 neutered boys and 4 girls living together that all have been introduced seperately. you need to house them side by side so they can see each other and talk and let them meet everyday on neutral territory. this may take a couple of weeks.
a friend has 4 boys living together also introduced at different times. it may be easier to get two babies to add. oh and make sure the cage is nice and big this will help the prevent fighting

So would it be best to have my 2 boys neutered if I were to add another male? Of course I would have them fixed if I were to add a female, but I heard that if a male piggy goes over the age of 6 months before his little trip to the vet that he still will mount and at like a "man" with females. Is that true?

Thanks for the help!!!

I would just stick with the two piggies if it were me. Sometimes even the smallest thing can set a pig off, especially another male, even if they were all neutered. What with all the introductions and stuff you may find it is not worth it.
