Oxbow Critter Carrots

Have any of you guys tried Oxbow Critter Carrots? They are pellet sized treats made entirely of carrots that have been made sugar free.

I thought that they sounded interesting, so I picked up a bag for Buddy. I gave him one pellet when I came home and he seemed to enjoy it, but he didn't go super crazy over it (like he might for a raisin or piece of apple pomace).

We used to buy them for treats Jiggy got tired of them and eventually started throwing them back at me. Callie was like Buddy. She'd eat them but wouldn't be super excited about them.

I've had more success with the oxbow papaya/pineapple tablets and the critter berries. Although we have Jiggy who goes crazy for the papaya ones and won't touch the berries and Calypso loves the berries and won't touch the papaya And of course we indulge them and buy both kinds all the time

I'll have to look into these! I don't think I've seen them in stores around here. Did you get them online?

No, I found them at my vet's office. I'm not sure if I would buy them again or not, as they were quite expensive, but it's nice to try something new every once in a while.

Some vets carry them but I get them online through flowertown chinchillas. I get them to throw a pack in every time I order hay and pellets so I can save on shipping.

I see that the carrots are actually $3.00 cheaper at Flower Town than at my vet's office!
