Hi guys! I'm new to this forum and I'm very interested in getting a chinchilla. My major problem is I live in NYC and
I can not seem to find a breeder that I would feel comfortable adopting a chinchilla from. I found one that lives only ten minutes away from the city but his chinchilla prices seem very high compared to others and he posts no information of their personality on his website (sorry if it's not a guy, I just assumed). If anyone has any suggestions of a breeder near the city that would be greatly appreciated .

Have you checked other sites. You may even want to look into rescues in your area. If you are only looking for a pet chinchilla, then there are plenty out there looking for a new home. I know this time of year is really busy as many college students are surrendering their pet chinnies. We have already taken in more this year then last. I'll look around for you.
