Just checking if you've found a breeder?

I know some of the gals in Onatrio are breeding some awesome animals.
Hope you've found them

You can also try posting an ad here: http://www.ontariochinchillas.ca/phpBB2/index.php , you'll find more ontarioans there

Myself right now, I do not have any chinchillas available right now. I will have a rescue girl available in about 2 weeks though. Feel free to pm me for more info if interested

Info from a fellow searcher in Windsor. :)

It's actually illegal to own chinchillas in Windsor - that doesn't mean that no one does it, but it does mean that you can't find a breeder in the city. (Personally, I have no idea why you'd make owning a chinchila illegal - they're not violent, they don't really carry parasites, and they'd die if they escaped, so they're not going to become strays... but that's beside the point.) You can have up to 80 pigeons, though. I'm not joking. http://www.citywindsor.ca/DisplayAttach.asp?AttachID=15

The Essex Feed Store occasionally has chinchillas, so there must be a breeder somewhere in the county. Your best bet might be to contact them. Purina dealer, high quality feed, supplies and accessories at Essex Feed Warehouse, Essex, Ontario.

Also, last fall Sam's Pampered Pets in Emeryville had some chinchillas. I'm not sure if they still have them but again they might know of a breeder in the county. Sam's Pampered Pets

It took me a long time to get all this info together, and now I'm not sure if I'll be able to get a chin any time soon - without central air our house gets pretty warm and I don't want them to overheat! - but I'm happy to help someone who thinks they're ready!
