Hey Everyone,

I'm new here, and am so glad I found this forum full of chinchilla people since the information you find on them is pretty scarce and always differs so it's nice to have some direct input!

I've had my chinchilla, Kuki (pronounced "cookie") for about 4 months now, so that makes her 6-7 months old. Shes supercute and ive spent so much money on toys and stuff but I was wondering....

She makes this REALLY weird noise, its not recent, it's just random, ever since about three weeks after I got her. It's like a weird squeeking but rough sound but the vet said it's nothing so did the pet store and no site I can find has a description or audio file of does anyone know what I'm talking about? It's practically the only sound she ever makes besides softly squeeking if i pet her and shes tired or teeth grinding when shes enjoying a cuddle.

The vet also said I should get a bigger cage later on if i can (current one is 2x2x4) I was kind of shocked I think i might get her a friend but even if I don't do i need bigger than this?
