Hand Taming

My chins are 6mo old now..... I've been trying to work with them but they don't seem to like interacting so much with me. For example, I can get only one of them out of the cage for his free time. The other one is still very afraid.

Any suggestions on hand taming?

The key with chinchillas is patience. Some people use the dust bath to transport chins out of the cage and into the room for free time. If they come close to you, give them a small treat. Rolled oats are a good treat because you can give them 5-10 and you don't have to worry about too many treats.
