| Does anyone have a little girl who needs a home? Sigh... well my plans for a girlfriend for Baby fell through, so we are on the lookout for a friend for her. We would prefer a baby, but the only truly important thing is that she not be a standard, so that we can easily tell the two of the girls apart.
Thanks so much for any help. |

| I don't want to tell you what to do but if you find a nice female standard, I wouldn't pass up the opportunity. Just because it is a standard doesn't mean it will look exactly like Baby. |

| I don't think I've ver seen 2 standards that look exactly alike. I've seen some that were so dark I would have swore they were ebs had they not had pure white bellies, and others that are very very light.

| Courtney, you are right. And like Laurie said, their personalities are different too. |

| When I had my two standard sisters, they were nothing alike! And they didn't look alike either, considering that they were sisters too.
What type of price range are you considering? That may help you narrow down your color choices. |

| The small animal rescue in my neighborhood (Vancouver) has several young females (approx. 1-y-o) who need loving homes. My husband and I were thinking about fostering 1 or 2 of them. Do you want their contact information? |

| I really wish that we could take either of these offers, but with gas prices so high we really can't afford to drive out of state. Not just gas, but my car's exhaust system is almost completely dead, and I can't afford a long trip.
Actually, I've found a website for a breeder who ships chins Continental Cargo. I've done a lot of business with CC and shipping Fancy Rats from rescues, and it's a wonderful and safe ride for the animals. Not that it's affordable!!! It's supremely expensive! But like I said, it's become more saving the distance, not the adoption or shipping fees.
I have a while before hearing back from the breeders, but I might actually adopt a Dwarf girl. Who knows, we'll see. It would be so cute to get a standard Dwarf female so baby could have a mini-me |
