Chinnie Dust

I am trying to find a new brand of dust for the girls. The only stuff I can get around here is the Hagen brand and it's $10 for a small tube. I have no complaints about the dust itself, however, now that I have two chinnies that are not yet sharing a cage, I am buying twice as much dust all the time. I was wondering if anyone knew of somewhere where I can order a good quality chinnie dust at a reasonable price. Where do the canadian out there get their dust from?

We used to have a thread about this but I think it was in the posts before the crash. I wasn't able to find it in the current threads.

You can get a 2.5 LB container of LM Chinchilla Dust at Superpet.com for $8.74. I actually got the same size/brand at Petsmart in Hamilton for $5.99. I use it for my degus and they love it.

The 32 oz or 2.5 pounds Living World Dust is what I get now but it's not enough for the two. I can use the same dust more than once for Tinsel but Jiggy gets it dirty/spreads it around alot quicker so I go through this stuff like water. And at $9 a container I know I can get something better somewhere

Rincewind is an unknown quantity at this point
We get ours from a local breeder/rancher. The first time we tried it both our degus and Taboo LOVED it. They looked so much shinier afterwards, I would never switch back to the pet store brands.

She sells it in HUGE containers (10lbs) for $5.

Seeing as I presume you don't want to get dust shipped from out here (although I could for you if you like) you might want to write to any local ranchers. They obviously strive for the best fur quality they can get, and usually have the dust to reflect that.
