They do require A LOT of attention and aren't that cuddly, but they sure are cute and worth all the time. Quote:

PS i don't think my desk ever looks that neat | Believe me, my desk never looks that clean either. I just didn't want him chewing on anything else. Somewhere, I also have a picture of Dash hiding behind my laptop and peaking out like he was in trouble. I couldn't help but laugh at him. I'll have to try and find that one. Quote:

But to me, they look like a cross between a bunny, a squirrel, and a mouse. The big ears, but mouse shaped, big back feet like a bunny for hopping, squirrel hands to eat with, squirrel-like tail, and the whiskers of a mouse. But that's just my opinion. Either way, they are adorable! And *Extremely* soft! ('tis why they make coats out of them )
I just wish they were a bit more cuddly. But I love them all the same. If I ever get another chinchilla, (which I probably will) the next one will be either a dark ebony or a violet. Both colors are very beautiful. But unfortunately, as much as I'd love to see Dash with a buddy, I don't think he'd be very receptive after having just lost his best mate. (I use that term as a mix of best friend and mate. Yes, they were both boys, but they were.. uhh... frisky with each other. More because my arm was out of the question. lol) And, I just couldn't afford another at the moment. Full time college and on my own, it's not easy. But one day, when Dash is over his loss and I can support both of them, (or more! lol) I will get another friend for Dash so he isn't so lonely. |
