Chin got beat up...

I have a pair of males (father and son) and they've gotten along perfectly for like 2 years--but all of a sudden the father is really picking on the son. He chases poor Chance around constantly, and he's pulled/chewed alot of fur, bitten him and taken a hunk out of his ear. So I've put Chance in his new cage alone, and he seems to be calming down a bit, but I think he's under-weight because of stress etc. What do you guys recommend for putting weight on him? Poor thing

Try oats (not the quick rise ones). Just a little sprinkle over the pellets.

Lots of breeders sell supplements that would work well too.

I would give him acidophilus on a regular basis. This will help with stress related digestive problems and hopefully he will be eating more soon.

The poor little darling. Can you imagine how he must feel?His own Dad is turning on him.
I've had the same problem. I can not keep males together in the chin room where the gals are. Some folks say that's mallarky, but at some point they will always turn on each other, and I have to seperate.
I would think he would bouce back now that he's away from the stress.
Don't over do it with the weight increasers, and give him time to settle into his new cage.
Sometimes I just wish I could give Dad a time out.
