Can stress...?

I have a new chin and has been with me for over a month now. He has never had any problems health-wise and is very active. He eats and drinks normally too. But lately, he has been having wet poops. They are normal shape but are wetter than they had been and much wetter than my other chins. They get a long great, but everyday, he still has to warm up to me. But I normally have to pull him out of the cage because otherwise, he won't come out or warm up at all. I'm wondering if he is stressed or something else might be wrong and that is what is causing the wet poops.

Advice please!!!!

Have you changed anything in his diet? What kind of water do you give him? You can try giving him a small piece of burnt toast or shredded wheat to see if it will help firm his stool up. I would personally take him to the vet and get a fecal test done to rule out any parasite problems. If it is a parasite, you need medication to treat it otherwise he could go downhill fast or pass it on to your other animals.

As for the stress side, yes chins do get stressed. It takes longer than a month for some chins to warm up to humans. You should never force the interaction otherwise he'll just remain a perpetual stress ball.

The diet he has is the only one he has had since being weaned. It is good quality food as well. The water he has is also the same, it is purified. It is the water we drink and not from the tap. When I got him, he had a parasite test done. He was perfectly healthy. That was only a month ago. If it was a parasite, I don't know where he could have gotten it. They don't go outside, the house is kept extremely clean, and both are really healthy. My vet was actually amazed at how healthy both of their fecal sample was and their health in general. What is really confusing is that he hasn't changed at all: appetite or activity level.

It is only in the morning that he seems stressed. Right now, he just wants to come out of his cage and play with me. But when I try to get him in the morning, he won't come nor will he warm up to me during the day. When I did just let him go, he refused contact at all and it was then that I realized that he would have to deal with being forced to come out. I only do it once. And it is only in the morning. After that, he is perfectly fine with me.

My Chinchilla is very active during the morning hours and really doesn't want to be bothered unless you are giving her a treat
