| Blood on Hammock??!! There was something on Cub's hammock tonight that looked like blood, but I don't know where it came from. She had no blood on her & was acting happy & normal, running around, grooming, eating, drinking & napping. I gave her a dust bath & there was no blood in the dust.........
I don't really know what to do.
I am guessing that the blood may be one of 2 things: a scratch from Hank that I didn't notice (it's a very small amount of blood, maybe a baby fingerprint's worth) or a vaginal discharge.

| I don't think chins spot when in heat, BUT I could be wrong. I've never noticed anything on their toys, shelves, or fur. I have had small blood spots occassionally though. It is usually from one of their feet (or toes) getting a small scratch or sometimes, but rarely, it's from fighting. But you'd know if you had a fight.
Hope it's nothing serious.

| Well she's acting 100% normal & there's no more blood, so maybe it was some sort of heat-related discharge? I am keeping a very close eye on her but right now I don't think it's worth the stress on either of us to visit the exotics vet.

| It's probably just vaginal discharge. I notice it in the potty corners of my litter trays all the time. Don't worry about it. |

| Thanks for asking Diana. No Cub has been normal ever since the blood appeared, so I am pretty sure that kingsboro is right.
