She'll be fine. Labor is just exhausting for all of us females, lol, and it just isn't all that fun. Make sure she has plenty of fresh water available. You could also give her a raisin to stimulate her drinking. Just one though, you don't need any problems with diarehea.

Congrats on the babies!

Are the babies clearly getting fed enough? I put a bit of 100% cranberry juice in the water to help the mom drink lots. Do you give supplements at all?

Congratulations on the babies!

thanks for the suggestions ^^... i read a book about chins before... it says that adding little apple vinegar into her drinking water is good for the new mother... not sure it is really useful or not... but seems she likes it~

raisin and cranberry juice ... Oh thanks... =)

hehe. the mommy seems better today, and the kits are healthy and naughty

I wouldn't do apple vinager but apple juice is okay. I buy all juices I use for the chinchillas in the baby food sectin as it has fewest additives. I would also keep and eye on her teeth, if they start getting white get some calcuim tablets (ones that include Vitamin D) and crush them up and roll a raisin in it.

so the chins can have the calcuim tabets, right? i was thinking about this... but dont know its right or not...

thanks for the suggestion for the calcuim tabets...

i just checked the chin book again, it says adding diluent (blended) apple vinager into the water with proportionable fresh plain water for the new mother during the the frist month after birth is good, especially for the mommy who delivers more than 3 kits... becuz kits need milk most during that time... of cuz I will still keep an eye on her... =)

Oh ... i didn't give her the plain water avalible!! I will do that later.... Thanks!!

BTW... yes, i drink the blended apple vinager daily tho~ good for health and skin^^...
