| Affection I was reading in another thread that linus felt her bunny was more affectionate than her chins. It's funny, but I find Cub the most affectionate pet I've ever had. Could this be becuase she is a solo chin, or so other people also find that their chins love to groom them & hang out w/ them all the time?

| Overall, I think bunnies are a more affectionate pet then chinchillas. 2 completely different types of animals. There are chinchillas that are extremely affectionate and don't mind hanging out with their owners watching tv or sitting on their lap. |

| Other than my dog, Diego is definitely my most affectionate pet. He loves to snuggle and will sit with you for hours. I think a lot of it depends on the chin. The rest of the chins don't care much to snuggle...they would rather run and be crazy. |

| Livvie and Charlie will sometimes fight over who gets to sit in my lap.. (I sit in front of their cage with my legs crossed indian style and they just climb out to my lap) Livvie usually wins... Charlie doesnt like to be pet at all.. but sometimes I can hold him and give him kisses and he will let me.. Livvie LOVES to be pet.. and on her belly especially when she is pregnant.. right now she is sucking up all the belly rubs she can get.. she will groom me... she could probably sit there like that forever... till she hears the treat bag!!! |

| Pocky has his moments, the girl still isn't sure what to think of us, but I would definitely say bunnies are generally more affectionate just by my observations. I'm a cat person myself, so i can't wait to get a kitty to cuddle up with

| So it's more normal for chins to run & be crazy than to snuggle? I am suprised by that!! I guess Cub is a bit weird. Her favourite thing is cuddling humans she loves. She will come up to you & nestle in the crook of your arm & start cuddling. She will grab you by the lips & lick them. I guess she;s just an extraordinarily affectionate chin, more friendly than all but 1 cat I've ever had.

| There are chins like that, but it's mostly dependant on the chin I believe. Chinnies are personality on four scrawny legs never know what you're gonna get! |

| My chins have way too much energy to be content just snuggling. That is what I love about my chinnies though! I couldn't live without their cute antics during playtime.
I wouldn't let any of my chins go near my mouth. Human mouths have way too many germs and I wouldn't feel comfortable with my chins nuzzling my mouth. No offence. |

| I have some affectionate chinchillas, and some who probably don't care whether I'm around or not.
Freddy & Ginger are by far my biggest cuddlers ... they clamor at the cage doors to say hello and love to walk around in my arms. Then there's Chester who's a character and such a lovebug, but is NOT into cuddling Just ask Sophie and Candice about that one |

| I've never had a bunny. so I could not compare the two. I would say that my chinnies are just as demanding as my other pets for attention, but they do not really like to 'snuggle'. |
