So I think the boy finally figured out that the OUTSIDE of the chube is good too! He's decided to tear a few chunks off, and unlike the stuff from inside, there are no left over tidbits laying around....
Attached are some dustbath pics and a few hide and go seek pics
I love how there's an almost PERFECT circle of grey/black around his tail right where it joins his butt
He's already changed so much since we caught him. He now as a distinct marking across his rear end (not solid, but much more distinct than when we first got him), and there is a whiter stripe down his nose that has become more prominent
We're really enjoying him Tim's almost got him trained to stay on him, and he doesn't poop or pee on Tim any more... Just poops on ME!
Jiggy has that perfect circle too. You'll see Aero's coat constantly changing. Jiggy used to have pure white on her back but now she's got small "newspaper smudge" marks everywhere. She's also developing a faint grey patch on her butt.

I think that's so cool How old is Jiggy now? Will the colours stop changing when he's "grown-up"? I kind of hope not, however, it would be nice if we were able to recognize some patterns on him (especially if we lost him in a crowd of mosaics! )
I think mosaic markings somewhat change all their life, but I find Jiggy's main markings stay pretty consistent. Some get a bit darker or lighter but they still are there for me to see. She's got dark markings under her eyes, darker markings around her ear and of course, the tail ring.
I don't think I have to worry about losing Jiggy in a sea of mosaics. Her personality would shine through I'm sure. She'd be the one pushing and shoving all the other chinnies to get the spotlight to herself

Too funny That's awesome that she keeps changing a bit Something to look forward to...
Still not quite sure if he's a true eb mosaic or not... he's got the darker ears, which Pam thought was a sure sign, but he doesn't have really solid (deep) markings yet, so I can't tell if they're just the standard grey or if they're a solid grey/black... Then again, he rarely sits still long enough to get a close look...
