| Nuffy needs surgery :( Snuffleupagus needs surgery. We noticed one of his bottom canine teeth was loose on Saturday, so we took him to the vet last night. The vet said the loose tooth definitely needs to come out, and so do about 4-5 others that aren't looking very good. Poor Nuffster. He'll probably go in next Tuesday. We have to take him back for bloodwork still....we didn't get it done last night cause the vet was going to talk to the clinic owners to see if they would do a payment plan...and thankfully they said yes...so that will ease the $800-$1400 vet bill. So, bloodwork tomorrow, and if all is well, surgery next week. My poor baby, he's being such a suck! LOL

| Aw, poor guy! He's going to feel so much better after it's all said and done though. Maintaining their dental health is so vital to their overall well being so don't fret too much. You're doing the right thing for him!

| Poor Nuffy! I agree - he'll feel so much better when those teeth are out and he's healing up. I wish my guys would let me brush their teeth!

| How old is Snuffleupagus now? I'm sure all will go well and he'll feel so much better.

| I know he'll feel better....it just sucks that it's happening right now. If we'd known a month ago, we would have spent less in Chicago (or not gone) so it's just going to be tough. But I know they'll take good care of him like they did for Crackerjack when she had her teeth out. She needed 9 out...hopefully Nuffy doesn't need that many. He has a different problem than she had, so I don't think it will be as many. He also doesn't seem to be in as much pain as Crackerjack was...she stopped grooming herself and wasn't eating as much when she had her teeth problems, but Nuffy is still eating fine (especially now that he's getting wet food until he's fixed - he's in heaven!) and he's still grooming himself and Artemis, so that's good.
We're not sure how old he is. We've had him 3 years, and they were guessing he was around 4-5 when we adopted him. He was feral though, so they were just guesstimating. He's from the same feral colony as Tonks and Winky.
Hopefully the bloodwork doesn't show anything bad. And hopefully when he goes in for the surgery he'll be ok.

| Tonks still runs away when we try and pet her, but more slowly than she used to...now she'll reach her neck out and sniff us, and then stand up, stretch, and run off.
Winky is the biggest suck I have ever met...the total opposite of Tonks. You can't sit on the couch for more than 5 seconds and she's in your lap, purring so loudly we sometimes have to turn the tv up a little!
Nuffy is more like Winky...he likes to cuddle and have his chin and ears scratched. He's my old man cat!

| Thanks everyone!
The bloodwork came back fine, so surgery is a go for Tuesday. Nuffy has been pouting because he's going to miss Halloween, but I told him the tooth fairy would bring him a treat instead of money LOL
