| Lost Cat Grr. The guy working on my apartment promised me the door would stay shut. So I thought it would be ok to leave the cats loose in the apartment. When I got back from an errand, my door to the outside world was wide open, and I can't find my youngest cat anywhere.
I'm a bit panicked right now, and very angry. Manik has always been an indoor-only cat, and she suffers from chronic URI. Also, she's easily spooked and hard to catch on good days. I'm not a woman to be messed with right now! |

| Ok, ok, I over-reacted. I lashed out at Bob, but he swore the cat was never in the kitchen with him. I searched high and low for her -- dug through the cupboards, under the bed, through the closets, etc., but couldn't find her. Just as I went to start a lost cat poster for her -- she walks proudly in the room, merrowing loudly.
So she's ok. (The little brat!) |

| Cats always have a way of scaring their owners into thinking they escaped. I can't tell you how many times my parents were paranoid about their cats escaping and were so careful when the door would open to look down and see if the cats didn't walk passed. Once and awhile one of the cats would be "missing" and they thought for sure they didn't notice one of them leaving. Sure enough, hours later, she would come walking into the room and look at everyone like, "What is all the fuss about"? |
