Oh my lord, it's hard enough to get my guys in their carriers sometimes -- I can't imagine trying to stuff a kitty in a glass! I think the kitty looks more sleepy than anything, but you've got a good point -- you do have to wonder about some of these photos and what was involved to get the critter to pose that way.

snopes says: Origins: Bonsai kittens are not real. Nobody is making bonsai kittens. Nobody is selling equipment to help people make bonsai kittens. The Bonsai Kitten web site is a joke, not an actual promotion for the making of bonsai kittens. Investigations by law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, have already determined no real cats were harmed in the creation of the pictures used on the Bonsai Kitten web site. Signing a petition to shut down the Bonsai Kitten web site will not prevent any kittens from being harmed, because no kittens were harmed in the first place.

that pic wasn't from bonsai kitty, or anything associated with it.

the kitty looks mildly irritated or maybe just sleepy

some of the most uncomfortable looking pics i've seen the cats did it entirely on their own *shakes head* that one was probably just a sleepy kitten they dropped in a glass lol

The kitty looks sleepy. I'd say if it was like that for a long period that wouldn't be good, but long enough for a good picture, sure thing.

Pickles used to be so small she could fit in a slightly larger than normal coffee cup. So cute.
