Kitten Torture (News)

WARNING: Sad.

INDEX: Justice

WINNIPEG -- A Winnipeg family discovered their seven-month-old kitten apparently tortured and stabbed to death in a back alley.
Nicole Berens made the gruesome find while walking with her five children Monday night.
Her mother Aline Quesnel says the kitten, a greyish cross-breed named Mrownie, must have darted out of her daughter's house while the girl was getting ready to go for the walk.
A short time later, Nicole's eight-year-old son stumbled across blood in the back alley and Mrownie's mangled remains.
Quesnel says there was a knife, a sharp metal rod and a small whip lying in the lane near the cat's body.
The Winnipeg Humane Society says the incident is rare and troubling.

Even if they find the person, they probably won't get a very harsh sentance.

That's so sad That poor 8 year old must be horrified.

I agree 110%. That's the problem! Both adults and children can do such horrible things to other people's pets and get nothing more than a slap on the wrist. There's no real punishment and no deterrent. It makes me sick!
