| Jasmine's not feeling well I noticed yesterday that Jazzy looked more lethargic than usual. Its so hard to tell with her because she's kind of a strange kitty. If Ollie were sick I would be able to tell right away, but its hard with Jasmine. Anyway, today she does look a little slow and lethargic, and she is sleeping more. I did see her eat and drink, so that makes me feel a little better. I'm just not sure if I should rush her off to the vet. I'm here by myself, sick with the flu, but I want to take her in if she needs to go. What should I do?
Also, Tiger was acting like this for a couple days a few weeks ago, and he got better after about two days. Do you think they might have some kind of bug? Or maybe ate something? Jazzy is always eating stuff she finds, like hay and rattie food. Thats why I'm worried. She also catches flies and eats them when I have the door open. She is an indoor kitty though. |

| I believe that there are some strains of influenza that cats can catch from humans, not sure where I heard this though. Maybe she has what you have

| How much is she eating? If she has a fairly normal appetite, I would keep an eye on her for the next 24 hours. If she isn't feeling better, it is probably best to see the vet, even if it's just for fluids. |

Right now she is sleeping where the sun is coming through the window. I'm thinking she may have eaten something bad and has an upset stomach. I'll definitely keep an eye on her and see what Mike says when he gets home. I'm glad that we have a pet ER like a minute away and we also have pet insurance for our kitties in case they get sick or injured.
I'm still feeling pretty bad. I am sooo ready to be well! |

| SIChins, if you find a reference for the influenza spread from humans to cats I'd love to see it. I just did a search and could only find zoonotic influenza that is known to be transmitted from human to ferret and less likely vice versa.
Steph, you don't think there is any relation to your ratties illness and you and Jasmine, do you?
I hope you are both feeling better soon

I think its just a rodent thing. If she's still feeling bad tomorrow, I'm going to take her in. She seems a little better tonight. I swear, it seems like we have the same thing. We look like we feel about the same right now! |

| Yay! She's much better today! I'm so happy. She's eating, drinking, and much more perky. I think I was right about her eating something she wasn't supposed to. I'm so glad she's ok! |
