Crying i need some feedback on this situation we went through

i have neighbors across the street from me that has a cat that had kittens in may and every once in a while they would get outside ,they had two kittens left out of six and they were trying to give it another home so i took the one kitten two saturdays ago and they kept the other one ,well only a few days of having the kitten the kittens had a hard time moving thier legs and were vomitting and wouldnt eat or drink and they started to shake to where they were having seizures so my neighbor came over and said we had to rush the two kittens to the vets because she thinks they were poisioned ,we rushed the kittens thier and our kitten andy was laying larthargic in my my husband arms and the other kitten tigger look like he was doing a little better than ours ,so then we saw the doctor and he said that it looked like they were poisioned by some kind of chemical and they needed extensive treatments and had to be kept but before he can do treatments he had to know what the chemical was before he could treat them with anything.so me and the neighbor knew what had happened our other neighbor was outside spraying something out in his yard a few weeks ago and had a face mask on while spraying ,well wwhen we got home he was confronted about what he was spraying that day and night and he came right out and said round up which is a weed killer which he sprayed for his lawn wellthen he started cursing and saying how the kittens would block his driveway and that he was very angry at that .so the next morning i called the vets and told them the chemical was roundup so they could be treated properly and the doctor said they were running a fever of 104 and and the one kitten tigger was eating on his own but andy the kitten we took was wasnt eating and they had to nurse him and wasnt doing so good so friday the doctor called me this past friday and told me that andy wasnt breathing all that well and was suffering and wasnt going to live so the humane thing to do was put him to sleep so he wouldnt suffer no more and prolong it because he wasnt going to live because he was so full of chemicals .so i asked the the doctor if the one neighbor was responsible for the vet bill and he said legally round up can be sprayed in his yard but somehow thesekittens were full of the chemical .tigger is coming home today which is my neighbors kitten he pulled through but the kitten we took and got attached too didnt .the whole total bill for the two kittens came to 571.00 dollars but at least one kitten could be saved .we were so distraught over this and couldnt figure out why the one neighbor didnt put the little red flags out to show that he was spraying roundup or just say hey get the kittens in the house because i am protecting myself and i want to protect others and animals well he didnt and now one kitten is gone and he was told this that one died and he just said well good one less kitten around .what do you call people like this?and wasnt this murder to a animal .and it just burns us up that he is getting away with all this and theres nonthing we can do about it .o and this man has a persian cat and two dogs which he made sure he kept in the house while he was spraying ,for a whole month he let his cat outside before all this and it stayed over my neighbors house and she fed the cat took care of and my neighbor asked him if this was his cat and he said unfortunally it is . man is what i say .

That's really sad what happened to the two kittens. I may get flamed for this, but the man had every right to spray round-up in his yard, and legally (although certainly not ethically) he doesn't have to warn anyone. I think its terrible, but I don't think there's anything you can do about it. I'd just be sure to keep all my pets away from him in the future.

I'm truly sorry for your loss, I hope the other kitten makes a full and speedy recovery!

I am also sad that the kitten lost his life.. I'm sorry for your loss.. but I have to agree with JenM.. those are the risks that pet owners take when they let their cats outside.. If the cat had been hit by a car, would you blame the driver? No.. because the cat shouldn't have been on the street. Same thing.. other people's cats shouldn't be on other people's property.
Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

That's very interesting.
When we or our neighbors have a spraying done by a company we get a notice in our mail box.
You would think they would have let close neibors know.
