I Love My Vets!

Just got off the phone with one of the vets at my vet clinic. I want to trap her and take her for testing/spaying, etc. and put her in the adoption program, but their adoption program is full-up. I'd hate to wait til they had a free spot but couldn't afford to pay for her spay myself, as I'm just after getting all cats in for their yearly exams, plus Dougal's last vet visit, and Isobel is due for a teeth cleaning next month. Anyway, I called my vet and she told me that if I can catch the mother cat, she will test/spay her for free!! Depending on her temperament, she will stay there in the adoption program, or I could take her home to foster and work with her for a bit before bringing her back to the adoption program.

I've been feeding her every night and she's actually been waiting for me at suppertime, so I don't think I'll have many problems trapping her. I'm going to start my attempts tonight! Wish me luck!

If I bring her home to foster, I will definitely try to get photos of her. Otherwise, I don't think anyone wants to see a photo of her in the trap wanting to rip my hands off

She's beautiful - black with two white socks in the back and a white bib. She looks to be only a year or so old, so if she tests negative for diseases and can be socialized, I think she'll get snapped up.

If I can trap her early enough, I can take her right up to the vet this evening. If not, I've got a place indoors I can leave her overnight in the trap, so she'll be out of the elements, safe and kept quiet. I really hope I can trap her tonight - the sooner the better, as already the evenings here are getting chilly.
