| If they put the kitty to sleep it is probably better than the life she was living. I think she probably had health problems if she was that thin and 18 years old. I dont think she could have lived to be 18 if she was always that undernourished all her life. It truely is sad that they didn't get her the proper medical care that she needed, but from everything I have read and seen of her, she probably woudlnt have lived much longer anyway, 18 is quite old for a cat.
I had a 17 year old cat that was very fat his whole life, then towards the end of his life he started loosing his appetite and losing a lot of weight. I did take him to the vet and found out he had cancer...but as they informed me at his age and with his other conditions (aparently he had kidney failure also), that if he had surgery, chances were he woudlnt even make it through the surgery...plus..if he did it would be very tramatic on his old body. I decided to have him put to sleep. I cried and cried and cried...but he was a good kitty and he didn't deserve to suffer just cuase I wanted to keep him around longer. |
