This just makes me sooo angry!!!! I am caring for a cat that had been declawed by its previous owner It just breaks my heart everytime I look at his front paws. Why do people insist on doing this ?? I just do not get it

Perhaps if more people saw what they actually do during the surgery, there would be less instances of people getting their cats declawed.

Denise,

I agree.

I've sat in on 3 surgerys, I honestly didnt find them that bad. But looking at the cat declaw surgergies really grosses me out.

My friend was also at a "sit in" with a vet, and she had to watch a cat declaw. She said it was horrible, the way they did it, the way the cats were after surgury- and it made her to NOT want to be a vet anymore, she said " It was that bad".

BUNNYZOO: Please let me know any problems that the declawed cat has/had, if any. I am trying to convince my husband that declawing IS cruel. There is NO way he is going to get our kitty declawed! I do not think he really understands the process, though he says he does.
