Cheese as a treat?

One of our cats is very fussy and doesn't like any of the treats we've bought for him. So I've resorted to giving him little bits of chedder cheese...not large pieces, just like the little crumbs that sometimes fall off when I'm grating cheese. The other cats seem to like the cheese too, but I'm wondering if it's ok to give it to them. It's only an occasional treat, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. So, is cheese healthy or unhealthy for cats?

Yes, cheese is fine. Apparently when cheese and yogurt ferment, most of the lactose is used up. That is the reason that cheese doesn't upset their digestive system like milk does.

our cats love cheese as well. they don't get it all the time either though. it isn't bad for them as long as they aren't literally fed on it. like everything i guess, too much of anything isn't good, even for humans.
