| Black cat with tabby stripes? Has anyone ever heard of a black cat having tabby markings?
The day I took Dougal to the vet I remarked to my friend Christina that it looked, in certain light, as if Dougal had tabby stripes. She noticed it as well, but thought his fur was just ruffled.
However, a colleague at work told me that black cats can indeed have tabby markings - she's seen it before.
Freaky! Anyone else ever heard of that?

| Sure- I've seen it. On white cats, too. When Titus was tiny, as you recall, he had those gray spots on his head. I hadn't noticed before, but the vet pointed out he had tabby marks on his legs, too. He looks all white now, though- just when he was small you could just make them out. |

| My parents cat Ashes is like a silvery grey and she's got tabby rings on her tail. It's really neat.

| Panther markings ya that is what they are... I know I am a black cat Randy wanted to have his input as a black cat himself he is proud of what he calls his BIG cat like panther marking... darker black stripes that only come out durning afternoon sunbaths..but never tell him his coat has a red tint in sunlight who ever heard of a red cat. <-- just pic a black cat with bright green eyes who is always looking at me like this.
