Another new food...

Max has decided that he doesn't like his Felidae anymore. I'm not sure why this happened because he seemed to LOVE it when I first gave it to him...maybe it was just because it was different from the Innova that he'd been eating for so long. That'll teach me for buying two bags at a time.

So, now we are using Go! Natural. I did my research on the recall last October and it seems to be an isolated incident. The food has really good ingredients, is Canadian made, and competitively priced. Once I opened the package, the smell and look of the food was great. I gave Max a few crunchies to try and he approves. Just to be safe, I only bought one small bag this time. He ate all of his breakfast this morning which is more than I could say for the Felidae. I still wonder why he went off of it?

Anyway, I will give an update once he starts eating it on a regular basis...although, this is going to be an abrupt switch since he refuses to touch the Felidae I am mixing in.

Petcurean - Makers of Go! Natural

Looks very good!!! I like the fact that the Whole Dog Journal approves as well, they know what they are talking about (even if we're talking cat right now!!)
It's funny: Hank went off her Felidae too . Don't know why that is.... She still eats Felidae dry when I am not home, but I've got her on Precise & Nutro canned food mostly.

I only had Max on the Felidae dry...never tried the wet. I'm sure he'd eat it at least once though. I had read in several places that many cats did not like Felidae...but I figured that since Max loved it from the start, it wouldn't be a problem. I guess the novelty wore off.

I think cats are just gormands & like periodic new taste sensations, lol!!! Hank gets tired of everything so i have to rotate a lot. I will be looking for this new food locally. Is it only dry or canned as well?

I think that they only sell dry. There are several different brands under Petcurean...Go! Natural is just one of them. I also feel it is important to rotate foods but I only rotate Max's wet food. He only gets 1/4 can each night so I can give him a new food without introducing it over a week or two, like I would with the dry food.

Yes it is! I also like how the prices have dropped some because of all the competition.

Max is still eating his new food. There was no digestive upset at all despite the hasty switch.

Candice, that is good news Max is still enjoying his new food. So the key is to only buy 1 bag at a time eh?
