| schitzhu and they wouldn't have a pure schitzhu at the spca most likely. probably just a roddie puppy, a mut. a very cute mut, though.

| They could have a purebred shih tzu at the SPCA... you wouldn't believe how many purebreds we get that are surrendered by their owners... and even if its not a purebred at least you're giving him/her a second chance.. so Good Luck!

Are there really? I've been to lots of SPCA's and I volunteered at one last year, but I never once came across a pure-bred, except for a couple of rotweiler pups.

| We had someone come to our hospital the other day with a purebred red/tan dachshund from the local humane society. We've seen purebred shepherds, goldens, lhasas, huskies, dalmatians...you name it. People can be fickle and/or they often pick the wrong breed for them and are disillusioned quickly!
