What breed of dog is this?

Hey everyone, The lurker has decided to finally post. I have always wondered what kind of dog I've had since ownership. I was under the impression that it was a Pom, but due to size I am beginning to think otherwise. His personality traits are simular to a pom's, almost identical, the only difference is the size. The closest dog I can match him up to is a medium sized german spitz, but I am unsure. I am hoping someone has an idea. We shave him due to allergies, but I've included some pre-shaved photo's. Thank you for all the help you can provide!

I think it is a german spitz, everything from the tail to the facial features makes it look exactly like one

How much does your dog weigh?? He looks very similar to my dog who is a Pom mix... her pic is in my avatar

The first two come across as Pom, the others not nearly as much, I'm going to agree that it looks like a pom cross

I think everyone is right it's a pom mix, he doesn't fit in any category 100%, looks very close to a spitz, acts like a pom...but after clicking on link that was provided by firefox2, it appears as though he's very close to a spitz yet a little far as well...perhaps maybe a spitz mixed with a pom? we only saw the mother when we picked him up, she was not all that big. He weights about 22 pounds now, we put him on a diet, he was up to 28 at one point.

I still love him either way but I am just curious is all
