| bulls are protectors coming for what I read one the net when reseaching rednose pitts . They would guard the border of the owns land to keep people and other animals from stealing off their owners land. If I remember right. I believe owners should be pit down for raising them to fight or bite people or other animals. | |

| Pits are NOT gaurd dogs.
They were bred to fight- yes, but to NOT be aggressive to humans. They were also called "nanny dogs" because people would let them with their children to watch.
it's said a wellbred pit will make a HORRIBLE gaurd dog. Their true temperment should be to literally let anyone into your house- and walk out with your things.
Maybe you are confusing them with another breed of dog? Some other breeders(Mastiffs are one) were bred to hunt down and attack/kill slaves.
