Tape worms

Ewww! Porter's got tape worms-AGAIN. He had them when he was in the pound, and when we got him I took him to the vet and had it taken care of. Over a year later, they're back. Do any of you have problems like this?

No. Since we live in a very urban setting, I pick up Moxie's poo, so I notice anything out of the ordinary.

I use Sentinel in the summer for Moxie: while it doesn't guard against tapeworm, it does guard against heartworm, hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm.

I can't for the life of me remember how animals get tapeworm....

Good luck!

from fleas! I ordered some meds for tape worms, and I'm going to treat both of my dogs. I've never even seen a flea-I use medicated flea shampoo, and I treat the apartment

I personally don't trust flea shampoos... I'd go for Advantage or Revolution.. something heavy-duty...
