courtstarbabe48 is an unknown quantity at this point
Chinluvers (corina) mom wont even go into stores like steves pets because they have dogs for sale. Nor does my mom because she is the one that first told me about the dogs coming puppy mills. I mean do they even get food? I went on the website on your thread and if you scroll down to the bottom there is like 4 dogs and the one was in crucial conditions...

hawaiianchinnielover is on a distinguished road
Those poor pups I would never even consider buying a dog from a petstore. I can understand some people think they are "saving" that animal, but in reality they are making it worse.

everyone thinks buying pups at petstores is okay?

i saw the thread posted on the 13th of this month after i posted the thread about puppy mills. how could anyone say buying a petstore puppy is okay? what about the breeder female who will never know love-exercise-medical care-playtime? of course petstores are clean and thier pups appear clean and healthy who would buy from a dirty or unkept store! onone cares about the breeder dogs who are debarked by ramming steel rods down thier mouths noone cares about the breeder dogs who lose legs -ears and feet due to being caught in thier wire cages noone cares about the breeder dogs who will be shot or hit over the head when they can no longer produce puppies the only thing people see is the cute poup in the window but what about what you dont see the fear pain and sadness of a breeder animal kept in a small cage no bigger than a crate that is full of mats dirty and sick. sure your pet store may tell you the pups came from a local breeder they sure did thats another word for puppy mill thats why its called the prisoners of greed thats what you dont see heres another good site this one does have vidoe clips www.AWAWatchdog.com those faces dont lie who will be the voice for the voiceless who will fight to change the minimum standards for housing dogs for profit these animals suffer everyday but noone cares because they want that cute puppy in the window

My own opinion is: I am SO glad you posted that link for pRISONERS OF GREED!
Reading it made me realize I had inadvertently supported a puppymill. I noticed several similarities between the mills on the site and the breeder I purchased a puppy from. sure, they are registered with the APR and she passes inspection

1. Up to 7 dogs locked in one cage(indoor/outdoor kennel-very small)
2. she sells to brokers-they go as soon as they are 8 weeks old
3. dogs never get let out of cages, though they do get vet care
4. they live in a setup, like runs with only one hallway between them and the cages are on legs(both inside and outdoor parts)
on top of all this she feeds science diet.

Thank you so much, I will never buy a dog from this person again.

Hera, I merged your two threads.

Doxie, you bring up a good point. Pet store puppies aren't the only pups that come from mills. You witnessed a mill first hand. I would be very cautious of anyone who sells to a broker.
