Silicone Anti-Breedism/Anti-BSL Bracelets

Recently, a few individuals in a close-knit Anti-Breedism/Anti-BSL forum banded together and decided to show their feelings about this kind of legislation to the world. They chose to do so by way of wearable silicone bracelets decorated with the slogan "Punish the Deed, Not the Breed." Each orange bracelet has the words "Punish the Deed," across one side and "Not the Breed" across the other in capital letters. The color orange was chosen for its ability to grab attention, and because in many cities affected by BSL regulations, so-called dangerous dogs were ordered to wear tell-tale orange tags as a warning sign. Also, the color orange stands out for racial tolerance, which is exactly the message we dog owners want to get across.

The idea became very popular among list members and from there, it has expanded beyond just one forum. Graciously, the individual who took it upon herself to bring all of this together the first time has offered to do it again, allowing for those who did not get a chance at a bracelet the first time to try again. As such, we've been given permission to pass this on to people we think might be interested in not only spreading the word about BSL, but helping a few causes along the way. Each bracelet bought takes with it a donation to Mariah's Promise, The Dog Legislation Council of Canada as well as the ASPCA and the American Dog Owner's Association (an organization that fights BSL nationally). So far, donations raised have exceeded $200. We hope that by spreading the world, we can not only help show our opposition to BSL, but help these wonderful organizations who work to save lives every day.

The Bracelet
- Orange Bracelet with PUNISH THE DEED, NOT THE BREED $3.75 each (this bracelet cost $1.25 more than a typical bracelet because the slogan is longer than 14 letters and has to be split on the band itself)

Bracelet Information
I am more than willing to place the re-orders for the bracelets. The best way to do this would be for you to send the correct amount for each bracelet according to the breakdown below:

- Orange Bracelet with PUNISH THE DEED, NOT THE BREED: $3.75 for bracelet + $0.50 for donation for a total of $4.25 per bracelet*
*Canada - please don't forget to convert to your CDN to USD.

Shipping Information
- USA residents: Please add $1.50 to your total order for shipping.
- Canada residents: Please add $2.00 to your total order for shipping
- Outside of USA & Canada: Please let me know and I'll get an individual estimate for you.

Paypal directions
My email for Paypal is kychilehead at hotmail dot com. This is an account that I created solely for this project. My other Paypal account is a premier account and charges a fee for every transaction. I set this up so that money wouldn't be lost to Paypal and we could donate to a dog affiliated place. It will not accept credit because of the transaction fees. The account would be charged 2.9% + $0.30 USD for each payment received. In turn this would cause the price of the bracelets to increase for everyone, not just credit card payers. However, if you are willing to pay the extra in fees (for instance, it was $0.57 extra to pay for two bracelets via credit card) I do have a premier account that you can use a credit card. You can email me and we'll make alternate arrangements.

Not using Paypal?
If you do not have Paypal, it is free to create an account. If you do not want to use Paypal, you may send a valid money order. If you choose to send cash I will add it to the Paypal account. (I can pay Reminder Band via Paypal which is why I'm going the Paypal route). For cash please, please, please conceal it in a card or fold it up in paper. If you do pay via a Money Order or cash, please enclose a note that includes the following: Your Name, the list you are a member of, your mailing address and how many bracelets you want - please do not forget to include the color. You can email me at kychilehead at hotmail dot com to get a mailing address. Once I receive your payment, I will email you so that you know that I have received it.

Ordering
Once I get orders in multiples of 20, I will place an order. And then as I send out the packages, I will send you an email letting you know.

Other Information
You must send me the correct amount of money for each bracelet and the flat shipping rate. If you would like to include more for a donation, please note that in the note section as well. If you do not send enough money, I will contact you via email. If I'm unable to reach you, your money will be refunded and no bracelet will be ordered for you

Deadline
If you want a bracelet, the deadline to order one is Saturday, August 20.

ok, so, for us idiots, how much would this be in usd? it says i need to send 5.25, right? (i can not add), but to be sure to convert it to usd. how do i do that? lol

$5.75 US and $6.25 Canadian the Canadian converted into US currency is about $7.51 although the exchange rate changes so it's always good to check it over.
USD just means US Dollars, American money because Canadian money isn't worth the same rate :veryhappy:

Everyone pays $4.25 US a bracelet. US citizans pay $1.50 for shipping for a total of $5.75 US. Canadians pay $2.00 shipping for a total of $6.25 US. So for you Wessiepoo you need to send $5.75 in your own US currancy

Remember though, the shipping charge is for the total order, so if you want multiple bracelets its '(# you want x $4.25)+ your appropriate shipping charge.'

The *Remember to send in USD* is a reminder for those of us outside the US, so we don't send payment in canadian funds
