Rotties Break Through Window to Attack Poodle (News)

Alta-Rottweilers-Window

INDEX: Justice, Social

EDMONTON -- Edmonton animal control officers are shocked and two children are traumatized after a pair of Rottweilers smashed through a window to attack a poodle.
Animal control coordinator Art Becker says he's never heard of an animal breaking through a window to attack.
Faith and Matthew Somers, aged nine and 11, were walking their poodle-terrier cross Charlie past a house on Monday when they saw a large Rottweiler inside banging its head against a window.
The dog shattered the window and attacked the small dog.
Another smaller Rottweiler followed and joined the attack with one of them snatching up and violently shaking the poodle.
No humans were injured but the poodle suffered bite wounds.
Animal control officers and Edmonton police caught the Rottweilers using pepper spray and a choker pole.
The owners of the dogs have been charged.
