| The reason Pit Bulls have a bad name
OMG! I just read this article and I cannot BELIEVE this man! I am sooo outraged by his behaviour. It is because of him and others with his beliefs that PB's have the bad rap they do.

| While backyard breeders aren't necessarily doing anything illegal, shelter officials blame them for the abundance of homeless bull breeds, many of them unstable. On a recent visit to shelters in Brooklyn and Manhattan about half of the dogs in custody were pits or pit mixes. The dogs escape from yards, slip away when their masters aren't watching them, or end up in shelters when their owners are arrested or evicted, according to Brooklyn Animal Care supervisor Joyce Clemmons. When the owners come to retrieve their animals they usually don't mention that they're breeders until she brings up the city policy of mandatory fixing of all dogs in city shelters before they're released. The potential financial loss is not the only reason some owners object. "The men always say, 'You're taking my manhood away.' We get that every week. They say that they can't walk the dog in their neighborhood anymore because people will see that his testicles are gone. They are adamant about it," Clemmons says.
Man is this true! These are the idiots we deal with where I work.. You'd think we were telling them we were going to neuter them! (It would be really cool if we could snip them and not just the dog)

| I just read this on another forum and I am outraged! He loves pit bulls? Yeah right. People like that should be put in jail and rot to death.

| That's sick. If he did what he does to the puppies to his children, he'd be arrested and charged with something...why is it any different for animals?

| The only reason this is all happening is because our laws are not good enough...they aren't regularly updated to suit the times, and they don't target idiots like this one...this is why we should be peed off not only with these moronic owners, but with our bonehead politicians who refuse to do anything about it...thanx alot! | |
