| Pitch is leaving this weekend I have been very patient with his problem of marking in the house but this morning was the final straw. I can not deal with it anymore. I notice two things about him. 1. If I take him in the yard in the morning, he doesn't fully empty his bladder because he likes to go on walks and mark everything and 2. whenever I go in the chin room, he gets upset because he can't get near the chins nor go in the room. I already called the shelter and told them they absolutely need to take him back this weekend, no questions asked. If this was our own dog, I would be more than willing to work with him or her but to put up with this bs in a foster dog is a totally different story. |

| Yikes!! Sorry to hear that he hasn't learned yet Denise. I hope along the way, someone can figure out why he is doing this. I think I would have lost patience a long time ago, I could not handle a dog peeing in the house

| Thanks. I was scared to even say anything on here for fear people would think of me as a bad person. I am surprised I dealt with it too! I was even willing to wait until the end of August to give him back to the shelter so he could find a home but that just isn't possible. I am thinking the shelter didn't quite tell me everything about this dog. They have him as being 1 1/2 years old and there is no way in heck he is that young. |

| Denise, while I haven't been a member here very long, I don't think there is anyone here who would question your actions in this regard.
The unfortunate thing about fostering/adopting animals from shelters is that most of the time I imagine the animals come to them with very little background info, so they have to make (hopefully) educated guesses about age, temperament, behavioural issues, etc. I just hope that soon Pitch is able to find a loving and patient an owner as you have shown yourself to be. |

| I'm sorry you are having so much trouble with Pitch It's a shame he has to go but I don't think I could put up with constant marking either

| Poor guy- he must have some serious issues. He needs a family with a nice safe fenced in yard. Doesn't sound like being a house dog is quite suited for him. You gave it a try- if he can't learn it's cruel to him to have to be forced to. |

| I'm so sorry it didn't work out with Pitch. The shelter should foster dogs like that with people who have experience with behavioral problems - it was unfair to both yourself and to Pitch to send him to you
