Ginia has had a lot better luck tracing Hogan's line. Mind you, on the standard pedigree you get, it shows four generations- so it really takes some digging to get some of the other dogs- and sometimes you get contradictions and even more confusing before people went with real kennel names, sometimes the dogs were named after the breeder or te breeder's son or wife or sometimes after the dog's own father or mother- so when you come across a dog called Mott's Joe- you don't know if Mott was the breeder or the dog's sire or the breeder's wife's maiden name... which makes it even harder to trace. And then you have defunct kennels, breeders now deceased, kennels that have changed names... What we need are some friends in the UKC and UKCI records offices who can snoop for us! LOL
