Our newest family member

Darren has always wanted a dog and this past Monday we welcomed Sasha into our family. She is 3 months old and is a Carlin Pinscher (half pug, half mini pin). She is a wonderful dog, very loveable and has fit right into our family. Jillian is still a bit unsure of her...likes to watch her from a distance but Sasha a bit too much in Jillians face for Jillian right now but I am sure once Jillian gets used to her, she will love her as much as she loves our neighbors dog.

Congrats on the new addition! I've never seen a Carlin Pinscher. Are they a relatively new breed?

From what Darren tells me, yes they are a fairly new breed (he thinks about 5 years or so b/c when asked about their lifespan, breeders can only guess since none of the dogs are old enough to tell).

Actually that is one of the benefits of breeding the pug with a min pin...they don't have the breathing problems like pugs, nor do they shed like pugs do...but they have a temperment like a pug.
