Thanks guys! (Well....Gals!)
She has been doing well and we are helping her be a inside dog. She never had been in a house prior. She has a lot to work on (I especially hate that she licks and licks and licks although she I know means well) so I have been putting apple cider vinegar on my hands and it has been making her think I taste awful and when she doesnt lick she gets a pat as a reward so shes liking this business alot!
Fertmom, she is actually smaller than my other male who is about 130 pounds and much taller
Sue, her temperment is good. She did growl at me clipping her nails but we got throught her two fronts so far and left it on a good note at that and I will do her hinds soon. She stopped growling and being upset on her last two nails so I was happy to give her lots of pats while just playing with her paws and she will have round 2 soon. I think she will be just fine we have adopted one (gypsy) and she had alot of aggression issues I managed to help her overcome and she was far worse. She also growled at me when I petted her while she was eating (fair enough, she probably had to defend her food before) so we worked on that and in two days she no longer growled anymore and I pet her every time she eats briefly and she is just fine. I originally took her food away when saying no at her growling (right when she growled) then 5 minutes later tried again this time sitting and feeding her from my hand and then patting her and she didnt growl and I walked away on a good note and same happened the second time but minimal and I repeated what I did the first day. The third day she didnt mind me at all.
I only do this because I want her to know I am of NO threat what so ever to her and want her comfortable with me around her etc so if Im ever walking by her eating/etc/etc there is no defeniveness.
