| Very cute puppies! Interesting you call them Jack Russells- I thought they were called Parsons now- or Russells, too, in the UK- but the Jack Russell name was no longer being used? How does that work exactly? Does it have anything to do with pet-quality v. show-quality? Does it effect registration? I know one has shorter legs than the other, don't they?
We have that in Rat Terriers, too- shorter leg variety. Some people call them RTs anyway, some people say type B RT, and some call them Teddy Roosevelts. We also have a larger variety of RT commonly called Deckers that some people are trying to get recognized as a seperate breed. It gets really confusing then- as both of our RTs have a lot of Decker in their lines- so if it becomes two seperate breeds does that make them mutts? LOL |
