i was wondering what everyone's opinion is for neutering/spaying an animal.
i just got off the phone with my older brother ( not the one who took care of my babies) and we got into a discussion about getting pippin fixed, ( he is going in tomorrow am keep your good vibes coming) and he didnt understand why i was doing it and that i could get some money for pippin cause he was such a beautiful dog, plus he comes from a great duck hunting line and might become a great hunter ?? who knows we havent started that training yet. anyway, it sort of made me mad, because A) we didnt get pippin to be a money making machine B) i think it would take time and research for me to find the right female to breed him to, and whwere would the puppies go. C) i am close friends with the breeder and her daughter ( we go to school together) so if i was ever to want a another puppy from pippin's line, i would be able to get one easily.
so i guess it made me a little mad that he would put his two cents in to tell me that he thought i was stupid for getting him fixed. i never planned on breeding pippin and i guess i just feel that he isnt going to use them

he he and what is the reason to keep them..
on another note, it is going to be 173 $ to get him fixed tomorrow. that is the actual surgery, (113) pre-op blood work ( 30) and microchipping ( 30) i figured i would just go for broke and get it all done at once. although i am not kidding about going broke. . .it was not this expensive when i got joey fixed, but we adopted him from the humane society, and i think that is one of the most wonderful things they can do is offer a discount to get them fixed by your vet. thumbs up to the humane society
