Brandy, have you tried to attach her to a zip line so that she'll be attached to a moving anchor which might absorb some of the shock of her reaching the end of her line and prevent the leash from breaking?

Dakin is really one smart little guy! Have you tried a childproof lock? Or teaching him NOT to touch the door when you aren't around? I don't always agree with how my parents disciplined us as kids but we knew that if we DARED to lock any of them out of the house, we'd better be ready to face the consequences. I don't know how much kids understand at his age, but would he understand boundaries like not touching certain things when you're not around?

I cant attach her to a zip line, then I would have to usemy landlords door to let her in and out and they would be able to reach them, when shes on her chain, they dont want her to be able to reach them becuase Nicoles elderly father lives with them and hes scared she will jump on him or trip him

Craigs dad made us a cable chain and reinforced it somehow, so far its working
