I don't know if any of you remember me still, but I'm Jessica. I have two dogs, Savannah and Harley. For those of you that remembered me from the past, Dakota recently passed away at age ten. We discovered she had cancer in late April, at the time it was just in her spleen. We took her to an amazing vet hospital in NJ and they performed emergancy surgery on her and removed her entire spleen. She was doing well for a while after the operation and she had also recieved several chemo treatments. Two weeks ago, her eating habits changed and by last sunday she refused to eat at all. My entire family knew it would be selfish to keep her here for us while she was in so much pain. Last sunday night she was put to sleep and finally found peace. She was such a smart dog! I doubt I will ever see another dog like her. We'll all miss her. Savannah saw her almost as a "mother" and she's been a little lost these past days, but we'll all heal in time. I'm finally glad she's no longer in pain, that is what matters most.

Wow, I didn't realize how much I needed to vent, sorry for all the rambling! Anyway, as some of you know, Savannah is a four year old yellow lab, I'll have to take some updated pics. I don't think any of you "met" Harley though. Harley is a year old chihuahua, three pounds with a saucy personality, don't burst his bubble... he thinks he's 200 pounds and a great dane. I've never had a dog this little before, so it's really neat because he goes everywhere with us. We've usually always had labs or spaniels, so it's really funny to see his antics.
And finally...just for the fun of it, a puppy mug!
